Coaching Philosophy

According to Duke University’s Integrative Medicine department, “Integrative Health Coaching empowers clients to make lasting health behavior changes that are the cornerstones of lifelong well-being. It bridges the gap between medical recommendations and patients’ abilities to successfully implement those recommendations into their complex lives.”

As a nutritional health coach, my goal is to help you achieve balance and well being by aligning the various influences in your life that affect your personal health.  A holistic coaching approach will take into account your unique physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and environmental influences, with an emphasis on integrating healthy nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle habits.

It takes consistent coaching to change health, habits, and lifestyles.  

That's why at Health Talk, I use several platforms to help you achieve your self-defined wellness goals. These include defining your Health Talk Vision, setting SMART goals, identifying deleterious behavior and dietary patterns, discovering strengths, exercising personal responsibility, and integrating a Balanced Lifestyle.

Educate & Equip


During our sessions, we will work through the Three Health Talk Pillars:  Nutrition, Exercise & Lifestyle. These pillars will equip, encourage and guide you to define your health & life vision.  


Topics may include meal and activity planning, improving your physical environment, increasing activity level, managing stress, obtaining optimal sleep, navigating obstacles & roadblocks, implementing mindfulness, and maintaining optimal nutrition.


You will have access to simple whole-food recipes, grocery shopping lists, snack lists, cooking tips & videos, a virtual Pantry clean-out & Kitchen Restock, as well as other educational resources. Planning, organization, & accountability, as well as non-judgmental support, will help propel you towards your goals.

My overall goal is to MOTIVATE you to achieve your health goals, to EQUIP you with the tools to so successfully and safely, to ESTABLISH personal confidence, and to INSPIRE lasting change for your continued success.
